Calling all 80s Tragics, have I got a musical for you….

The program from recent trip to see Hairspray (starring Jon English , who I still need to blog about) advertised a production of Grease by Holroyd Musical & Dramatic Society and other shows by other Musical Societies around the city.  We went to Grease and it was fabulous and I couldn’t wait to see another show.

The opportunity soon arose when I discovered Back to the 80s was being put on by Blacktown Theatre Company.  Like any good musical there’s a website and the song list tells me it’s going to be a fun night –

If you love musicals these local productions are a great way to see quality amateur shows at fabulous prices.  Our tickets to both shows were just $30, compared to the Star City season where tickets start at $64.  Even the booking fees are a steal, just 30c for Grease (with no allocated seating, you book to sit in a certain section)  and $2.65 for Back to the 80s (where you select a particular seat at the time of booking)

Check out these local societies and Like them on Facebook to hear all the news about upcoming productions –
